Mallika in an interview, recently said how she feels it is a misogynistic attitude for blaming an actors’ girlfriend for his murder. The actress without taking any names shared her thoughts on the death case.

SSR died in June 2020 and in the following weeks his girlfriend, Rhea Chakrobarty, was accused of money laundering and abetting SSR’s suicide. The Welcome actor, accused public and the stars of being misogynists for blaming someone’s girlfriend for their suicide. On asking what she meant by the statement, she replied by saying that she doesn’t want to take any names since similar things keep on happening in the industry.

Mallika said, “Last year there was a death of an actor and people in a very misogynistic way started blaming his girlfriend. Again it comes down to perception towards women, how we treat women. There was no proof that the poor girlfriend was involved, they started blaming her, manipulating her. The role social media is playing in all this thing. This is all-inclusive in our show Nakaab.”
