A web series directed by Hansal Mehta, titled ‘Scam 1992’ earned two awards at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2021: Best Drama Series and Best Direction. He takes the joyful news to Twitter and expresses his joy and appreciation towards the esteemed award.
Hansal’s award is among several from India including one for Manoj Bajpayee, who won for best actor in a lead role for his role in Family Man S2. The Best Supporting Actor award went to Naseeruddin Shah for his role in Bandish Bandits, while the Best Supporting Actress award went to Amrita Subhash for her role in Bombay Begums. The Grand Awards will commence on December 2 and the Red Carpet and Gala Awards on December 3.
